- Why we have no advertisements:
Because we pay Ezboard for our Gold Community status, we don't see advertisements in the forum.
If you would like to help us remain a Gold community, you can contribute to our forum expenses
by clicking on the Community Chest icon at the top of the forum home page. Contributions made to
the Community Chest can only be used for Ezboard expenses.
- Ezboard's warning message about security changes:
You may have noticed a small message at the top of the forum page in which Ezboard warns that
increased security standards will be in place shortly. Don't worry: This will not affect you.
Our Gold Community status protects our forum options from being limited by the new policy.
If you click on "delete" in the warning message, it will disappear from your screen. As mentioned
above, you can help us keep our Gold Community status -- and the features it offers --
by contributing through the Community
Chest.
Members of our forum should still use essential security measures, such as keeping their web
browsers and anti-virus software up-to-date.
- Please
encourage the education and medical professionals
you know to participate in the forum and e-mail us with questions.
We're happy to obtain
expert responses for them about common educational, medical, psychological, or
rehabilitation questions.
Professionals can either post questions in the Professionals Network section of
the forum, or they can e-mail them to Norma (the section moderator), Mary, or
Rebecca. See our e-mail addresses below. We'll research the peer-reviewed
literature, gather
responses from professionals in pediatric CFS, FM, or OI, and will post the
resulting discussion in the forum so all can learn from it.
We would love to have more physicians, nurses, teachers, tutors, psychologists,
social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and other professionals
learning with us as we discuss research, clinical, and educational issues.
Please spread the word.
- Please encourage the kids and youth you know who are affected by a sibling's
chronic illness to participate in the forum.
Katherine Moore, a sibling of a young person with CFS, is moderating our Siblings Club, which is a safe,
welcoming place for siblings to talk about their lives and the impact of illness
on their family.
- New sections for photos,
humor, and
quotations:
We've added new forum sections lately -- one for photos and another
for humor and quotes -- so stop
on by, share some favorites.
- You can
contact our forum moderators with questions or suggestions any time.
Our team of forum moderators now includes Sharon Walk, Norma Zuckerman, and
Katherine Moore, in addition to the Pediatric Network co-founders, Mary Robinson
and Rebecca Moore.
