Prescription Assistance Programs

  • Needy Meds - Extensive website run by a U.S. social worker and physician, describing pharmaceutical companies' patient assistance programs

  • RxAssist - Provides health care providers with the information they need to help patients use pharmaceutical companies' patient assistance programs

  • NuMedX.com - Information about patient assistance for various medications, sponsored by 7 pharmaceutical companies

Government Programs

  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI) - This is a U.S. government program paying benefits to people with disabilities who don't own much or have a lot of income. Children with disabilities may qualify for SSI.

  • Insure Kids Now - An outreach website for the U.S. State Child's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). Your child may eligible for free or low cost medical insurance through your state's CHIP/Medicaid program.

  • Medicaid - A U.S. government program providing medical services to people and families with low income and resources
